Position Overview

Genie Mental Health Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our remote team. As a full-time professional, you will play a pivotal role in providing therapeutic services to young adults aged 18 to 30, helping them navigate their mental health challenges in a supportive outpatient environment. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of youth striving for emotional wellness.

About the Organization

At Genie Mental Health Clinic, we are not just a mental health treatment provider—we are a close-knit community committed to transforming lives and unleashing potential. Located in Vancouver, Washington, our organization prides itself on fostering a culture of empathy, innovation, and integrity. We believe in continuous growth, both for our clients and ourselves, aspiring to create an impact that resonates deeply within the lives we touch. Our values—service orientation, integrity, partnership, courage, passion, and accessibility—are at the core of our mission as we endeavor to provide exceptional mental health support.

Work Environment

This position is remote, allowing flexibility while enabling you to work collaboratively with a passionate multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals. Our outpatient setting combines the convenience of accessibility with the effectiveness of evidence-based practices. You will be working in a fast-paced environment that encourages introspection and ongoing development, where teamwork and innovation are celebrated.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating engaging group therapy sessions, fostering a sense of community and connection among clients as they share experiences and learn from one another.
  • Providing individualized therapy that explores clients’ thoughts and emotions, helping them to formulate coping strategies and actionable recovery plans.
  • Collaborating with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that are goal-oriented, addressing their unique needs and preferences.
  • Monitoring client progress through assessments and feedback, adapting treatment strategies as necessary to optimize mental health outcomes.
  • Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, social workers, and peer support specialists, to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on young adults aged 18 to 30 who are enrolled in our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). These individuals are often facing complex emotional challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. Your role will be central to guiding them toward recovery, addressing their specific needs while providing a nurturing environment that promotes healing.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Washington.
  • A minimum of two years of experience working in mental health settings, particularly with adolescent and young adult populations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for resilience-building in clients.
Preferred Experience

Experience with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Motivational Interviewing is highly preferred. Familiarity with multidisciplinary collaboration and electronic health record systems will enhance your contribution to our team.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 85,000 to 100,000 annually, reflective of your experience and qualifications. In addition to financial compensation, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, generous paid time off, and support for continuing education to foster your professional growth.

Career Growth Opportunities

At Genie Mental Health Clinic, we are dedicated to your continuous professional development. Benefit from free clinical supervision and ongoing education, with opportunities to pursue specialized certifications and leadership roles within our organization. We believe in nurturing talent and providing a clear pathway to career advancement.

Why Join Our Team

Joining Genie Mental Health Clinic means being a part of a mission-driven team that prioritizes innovation, compassion, and respect. You will find a diverse community of therapists, all working together to make a positive impact on the lives of our clients and each other. With our non-traditional approach of "Progress, Not Perfection," you will have the chance to contribute to meaningful change while being supported by a culture that values your insights and expertise.

Application Information
