Position Overview

The Recovery Solutions Center is actively seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for a full-time, remote position focused on providing essential mental health services within the school setting in Kansas City, Kansas. This role offers a competitive salary range of USD 75,000 – 100,000 annually, along with a sign-on bonus, depending on experience and qualifications. Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine clients' social, emotional, and psychological needs, utilizing standardized evaluation tools and personal interviews.
  • Provide individualized and group counseling sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to the needs of each participant.
  • Develop and implement personalized service plans that include clear goals and measurable outcomes, ensuring timely progress updates to clients and stakeholders.
  • Advocate for clients, navigating social service systems to secure necessary resources, support, and services while addressing barriers to access.
  • Contribute actively to program development and evaluation by assessing the effectiveness of existing services and writing reports for grant documentation.
  • Collaborate with educators, community organizations, and government entities to create a network of support systems, enhancing service delivery to clients.
  • Participate in ongoing training, professional development, and team meetings to exchange knowledge, share insights, and promote best practices in mental health care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily targets school-aged children and adolescents, ranging from early childhood to high school. You will address a variety of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and trauma-related symptoms. Your support will extend to families, empowering them to foster healthy environments, facilitating the emotional and developmental growth of their children.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
  • Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory.
  • Solid understanding of trauma-informed care and its application in school settings.
  • Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with diverse client populations.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience working within nonprofit organizations or educational environments is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with community resources, social justice advocacy, and case management processes.
  • Experience using practice management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation and tracking client progress.
