Job description

Are you interested in working with the World's leading AI-powered Quality Engineering Company? Ready to advance your career, team up with global thought leaders across industries and make a difference every day? Join us at QualityAI!
We are looking for a Sr IT Project Manager - Agile Delivery & Operations to join our growing team in Alameda, CA!
Role - Sr IT Project Manager - Agile Delivery & Operations
Location - Alameda, California (Onsite for the initial 2/3 months, and then hybrid).
JD:
Overview
We're looking for a seasoned Senior Project Manager/Technical Program Manager to own the coordination and delivery of complex, cross-functional software initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of Agile delivery management and operational execution - you'll be equally comfortable running a sprint retro and troubleshooting a live demo in front of senior executives. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, brings structure to fast-moving technical teams, and is fluent in using AI tools to scale their own effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cross-functional delivery coordination: Serve as the central point of coordination across software development, product management, and operations teams, ensuring deliverables are scoped, tracked, and landed on schedule.
2. End-to-end SW program ownership: Manage delivery of technical initiatives spanning infrastructure builds, automated test tooling, telemetry/debug systems, and large-scale data pipelines - often supporting hardware/device validation and bring-up processes.
3. Quality and readiness gatekeeping: Act as a checkpoint between engineering completion and downstream production or factory release, ensuring software meets validation and calibration standards before sign-off.
4. Operational management: Take hands-on ownership of operational functions such as tech support workflows, community/user engagement programs, and device or fleet management - not just software timelines, but the people and processes that support them.
5. Data pipeline alignment: Coordinate closely between teams generating data and teams consuming it (e.g., research or product teams), ensuring outputs match evolving downstream requirements, including transitions between different data sourcing methodologies.
6. Executive-facing demo management: Plan, script, and run live product demos for senior leadership and executive audiences, including real-time troubleshooting and contingency management to ensure flawless execution under pressure.
7. AI-native reporting and tracking: Build or leverage AI-powered agents and dashboards to automatically track deliverables, flag risks, and generate stakeholder-ready status reports - reducing manual reporting overhead and improving visibility.
8. Stakeholder communication: Translate technical progress and blockers into clear, concise updates for both engineering leadership and non-technical executive stakeholders.
9. Process innovation: In situations with no existing playbook, prototype new workflows and approaches, then codify learnings into standard operating procedures (SOPs) that scale across the broader team or organization.
10. Team leadership: Manage and mentor a small team or group of coordinators/contributors supporting operational functions, fostering an AI-forward, efficiency-driven culture.
Requirements
1. 8+ years of experience in technical program/project management, ideally within software engineering or hardware/software integration environments
2. Strong working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies, with proven experience running sprint ceremonies, backlog grooming, and iterative delivery cycles
3. Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple engineering teams simultaneously, with strong prioritization and risk management skills
4. Comfort operating in high-visibility, high-pressure settings (executive demos, live troubleshooting)
5. Familiarity with AI/automation tools for reporting, tracking, or workflow optimization
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to flex between technical and executive audiences
Must Haves:Experience coordinating multiple cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product, Operations)
Hands-on experience running Scrum/Agile programs
Led sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and release planning
Cyber Security related project experience
Preferred Qualifications
1. PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or equivalent certification
2. Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or IT or Business Admin
3. Experience with hardware/software co-development environments (e.g., device calibration, chip bring-up, factory validation)
4. Prior experience building or managing AI-powered internal tools or dashboards
