We are looking for Behavioral Health Technicians in West Windsor, NJ

Compensation: $18- $20/hour (Based on experience) Full-time

Shifts Available: Full Time

  • 1st Shift- 8am-4:30pm
  • 2nd Shift- 4pm-12:30am
  • Overnight- 12am-8:30am
    You must be available to work weekends or partial weekend shifts.

Wellness Recovery Center NJ, a proud member of the Quadrant Health Group, is seeking passionate and skilled Behavioral Health Technicians to join our growing team. Our Outpatient facility in West Windsor, NJ, provides a unique blend of traditional and holistic therapies in PHP and IOP settings, offering a path to lasting recovery. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to our clinical staff, ensuring efficient and effective client flow and contributing to a positive client experience. You will play a crucial role in empowering individuals to achieve their personal and therapeutic goals.

What You'll Do:
The Behavioral Health Technician fulfills the assigned role as part of the treatment team โ€“ to maintain the wellbeing of clients and the integrity of the program. Additionally, the Clinical Support Technician provides client supervision and staff/unit support as assigned. This position reports to the Director of Operations.

Major Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:
Client Interaction & Support:

โ€ข Develop and maintain professional, supportive relationships with clients and staff.
โ€ข Provide emotional support, encouragement, and guidance to clients and their families.
โ€ข Support clients' comfort and safety in the residential environment.
โ€ข Listen attentively, document client behavior, and report observations to clinical staff.
โ€ข Maintain strict client confidentiality at all times.
Clinical & Administrative Tasks:

โ€ข Collect and supervise urine analysis (U/A) testing, ensuring proper reporting, documentation in the EMR, and disposal of samples.
โ€ข Observe self-administration of medication and document thoroughly.
โ€ข Document all medications in the hardcopy Centrally Stored Medication Log and the EMR.
โ€ข Complete intake assessments and consents with clients.
โ€ข Conduct patient rounds every 30 minutes.
โ€ข Complete vital signs (blood pressure, oxygen saturation, temperature, pulse, respiration).
โ€ข Complete contraband searches and random room searches.
Group & Activity Facilitation:

โ€ข Facilitate groups, outings, and educational sessions.
โ€ข Transport clients to meetings and appointments.
Team Collaboration & Communication:

โ€ข Provide crisis intervention and promote a healthy residential and working environment.
โ€ข Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and ethical standards.
โ€ข Participate in team meetings and training sessions as needed.

โ€ข Strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
โ€ข Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
โ€ข Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
โ€ข Knowledge of the philosophy of all pathways to recovery
โ€ข Fully understands and maintains policies regarding professional ethics, including appropriate boundaries and patient confidentiality.
โ€ข Proficiency in basic computer skills and electronic health records (EHR) systems, KIPU.
โ€ข Basic knowledge of referrals, both in and out of the organization.
โ€ข Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with co-workers, clinical staff, and administration to deliver high-quality care.
โ€ข Strong attention to detail and organizational and time-management skills.
Qualifications:
โ€ข High School Diploma or equivalent.
โ€ข Previous experience in a clinical or healthcare setting preferred.
โ€ข Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
โ€ข Successful completion of Pre-Employment Requirements including, a criminal background clearance, drug testing, and health screening, is mandatory prior to employment.
