Job Summary
The Workday Financials Analyst is responsible for the administration, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the Workday Financial Management system and related financial applications. This role partners closely with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Payroll, Treasury, Tax, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Budgeting, and IT to ensure financial data integrity, improve business processes, support system enhancements, and deliver reporting and analytics that drive informed financial decisions. The ideal candidate combines strong Workday Financials expertise with accounting and finance knowledge to maximize the value of the Workday platform and improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Workday Financials Administration & Configuration
- Maintain and configure Workday Financial Management modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, Expenses, Banking & Settlement, Business Assets, Revenue Management, Customer Accounts, Supplier Accounts, Projects, Allocations , and Financial Reporting, as applicable.
- Configure business processes, security roles, approval workflows, notifications, calculated fields, condition rules, validations, and custom organizations.
- Troubleshoot system issues and resolve production support requests.
- Perform regular system audits to ensure financial data accuracy, compliance, and adherence to internal controls.
Business Process Improvement
- Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
- Analyze financial processes and recommend improvements using Workday Financials best practices.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable Workday Financials solutions.
- Support solution design, testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and implementation activities.
Reporting & Analytics
- Develop and maintain Workday financial reports, dashboards, and composite reports.
- Support financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, and audit requirements.
- Ensure reporting accuracy, financial data integrity, and compliance with organizational policies
Integrations & Data Management
- Support Workday Financials integrations with banking partners, payroll providers, procurement systems, tax applications, and other internal or third-party systems.
- Perform Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) loads, mass data updates, and data conversions.
- Monitor integrations, troubleshoot interface issues, and maintain financial data governance.
System Upgrades & Releases
- Evaluate Workday biannual releases and assess impacts to Financial Management.
- Coordinate regression testing and implement new Workday Financials functionality.
- Document configuration changes and recommend new features and process improvements.
Customer Support & Training
- Provide functional support to Finance, Accounting, Procurement, and business users.
- Develop user guides, standard operating procedures, and training materials.
- Support change management, knowledge transfer, and user adoption initiatives.

Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of Workday Financials administration or analyst experience.
- Experience configuring Workday Financial Management, business processes, security, reporting, and integrations.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial business processes.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Workday Pro or Workday Financials Certification preferred and not required.
- Experience with multiple Workday Financials modules.
- Knowledge of Workday Prism Analytics, Workday Extend, Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Integration Cloud, and Workday Reporting.
- Experience supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, and Finance transformation initiatives.

Office and Remote work.
Compensation: $86,000-$114,000
This role is eligible for a base salary within the posted range. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including skills, experience, and geographic location. Compensation may vary for positions based in high cost-of-labor markets.
