This is a HYBRID role - onsite Tuesday-Thursday in Maple Plain, MN.

The Training Specialist is a key driver of employee success, creating engaging learning programs that help teams confidently adopt new processes, technologies, and business initiatives. Partnering across the Customer Success Organization, this role develops impactful training, delivers effective communications, measures results, and champions continuous improvement. Through innovative learning experiences and a passion for enabling others, the Training Specialist ensures employees are informed, empowered, and ready to succeed in a rapidly evolving business environment.

 
What You Will Do:
 
  • Design, develop, and maintain engaging training programs, job aids, and standard operating procedures in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Deliver instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced learning experiences that drive employee readiness and performance.
  • Lead training communications and change readiness activities to support successful adoption of new processes, systems, and business initiatives.
  • Partner with leaders and project teams to assess learning needs, identify organizational impacts, and prepare teams for change.
  • Manage training resources and knowledge repositories to ensure employees have easy access to up-to-date learning materials.
  • Track, analyze, and report on training participation, effectiveness, adoption, and organizational readiness metrics.
  • Collect employee and stakeholder feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and enhance the learner experience.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to training content, delivery methods, and communication strategies based on business needs and performance data.
What It Takes:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Communications, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 

  • 3+ years of experience in training, learning and development, employee enablement, or related roles. 

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, build trusted relationships, influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing environments. 

  • Strong written and verbal skills with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.  

  • Experience developing training materials and delivering training to diverse audiences. 

  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to identify opportunities for improvement. 

  • The ability to be a strong and engaging presenter who can deliver information effectively and encourages participation in remote, hybrid and in person environments 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools including SharePoint, Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), and Outlook; familiarity with AI technologies.

Protolabs offers a competitive total rewards package, and compensation mix vary based on position, such as base wage, as well as other earnings including incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, job function, work experience, specialized skills, training, education, and certifications
