This role partners directly with leadership to lead the development of clear, actionable insights on sales, profitability, and business performance, while driving key initiatives including product expansion and new market growth.

You will be responsible for working with complex financial data, independently translating results into meaningful insights that drive decision-making, and helping guide the analytical approach of the broader team.

This role is located in our Birmingham, AL office and has in-office requirements as part of a hybrid schedule.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and delivery of financial materials for leadership presentations, town halls, board reporting, and other executive communications.
  • Drive the development and continuous enhancement of expense, unit cost, and allocation reporting, including in-depth analysis of fixed and variable costs and underlying business drivers.
  • Drive product, pricing, and profitability analysis, providing recommendations that influence business strategy.
  • Lead strategic growth initiatives and take ownership of complex, ad hoc requests as needed.
  • Serve as a key partner to cross-functional teams across finance, underwriting, operations, and business leadership, driving alignment on ongoing initiatives and priorities.
Core Competencies (Skills, Knowledge and Abilities):
  • Deep understanding of financial statements, budgeting, variance analysis, and key business performance metrics, with the ability to apply this knowledge independently.
  • Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to lead work involving large and complex data sets.
  • Strong executive communication skills with the ability to own the translation of financial information for non-financial and senior audiences.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Demonstrated financial modeling, planning, and forecasting skills.
  • Proven ability to build and lead effective collaboration and relationships across finance and business teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of driving continuous improvement.
  • Ability to own multiple competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, accounting, or a related finance role, with demonstrated ownership of key deliverables.
