Senior Financial Analyst

Location: Irvine, CA (hybrid)
Compensation: $85,000–$115,000 base + annual bonus
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

About the Company

Our client is a fast-growing technology company headquartered in Irvine, CA. As they continue to scale, they're building out their finance team and are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to play a key role in driving financial planning, reporting, and strategic decision-making.

Position Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst will partner closely with FP&A, Accounting, and business leaders to deliver insightful financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting that supports the company's continued growth. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts and budgets
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning, pricing, and business decisions
  • Analyze financial and operational performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Prepare management reporting packages, including variance analysis and KPI dashboards
  • Partner with department leaders to develop and monitor departmental budgets
  • Support month-end close processes in collaboration with the Accounting team
  • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis, including scenario planning and business case development
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting efficiency, and data accuracy
  • Support annual budgeting and long-range planning cycles

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required; MBA or CFA a plus
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, or a related field
  • Prior experience in a technology or high-growth company environment strongly preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with financial planning software (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, NetSuite) a plus
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter who is comfortable working both independently and cross-functionally
