Job description

Intuit's Global Business Solutions Group (GBSG) Finance team drives business growth and profitability through strategic, financial, and operational leadership within our QuickBooks and Mailchimp business segment. Our team is comprised of finance professionals who support and enhance Intuit's operating effectiveness, and we're looking for a new member to join as a Principal Financial Analyst who will partner with organizations across GBSG.


We work in a highly collaborative environment providing financial partnership through planning, insights, and analysis across all functions - Marketing, Sales, Product, Customer Care, for example - while working closely with functional leaders and other finance and accounting team members. This role will have exposure to acquisition, revenue, and expense forecasting by partnering on FP&A activities across multiple groups within the GBSG Finance team.


Responsibilities

The Principal Financial Analyst offers direct exposure to senior leaders across GBSG Finance and the Canada & LATAM Senior Leadership team. We are looking for driven individuals who are creative problem solvers with a passion for finance and technology to join our Finance team and help drive growth within the business.

  • Strategic Planning: Be a trusted advisor to the leadership team to develop and refine our 1- and 3-year strategic plans, proactively highlighting risks and opportunities related to business growth and drive optimal investment decisions through data-driven insights and business modeling expertise.

  • Operational Excellence: Partner with Marketing, Sales, Analytics and Finance teams to develop and monitor key performance indicators to drive insights and decision making in order to achieve our strategic and financial goals.

  • Modeling: Create financial models to analyze complex business scenarios that drive and inform our go-to-market strategy (e.g. promotion, pricing, new sales channel opportunities, product portfolio)


Qualifications

  • 10+  years of experience within FP&A function or equivalent tenure from related positions in corporate finance, accounting or investment banking

  • Deep experience with deriving insights from analysis, formulating those insights into concise story lines and delivering presentations to senior executives to influence decision making

  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of large, complex organizations and forecasting processes

  •  Well-rounded interpersonal skills with the capacity to build strong relationships and collaborate across multiple stakeholders at varying levels

  • Self-motivated, driven and willing to proactively take on leadership roles within a project

  • Analytical orientation, creativity in problem solving and keen business judgment

  • Ability to quickly synthesize information, structure a concise, clear presentation of findings, and articulate recommendations to an executive audience

  • Proficiency in MS Excel required; knowledge and / or willingness to learn Hyperion, SQL, Tableau, Google Sheets and other Financial tools preferred

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting from leading academic institution preferred or equivalent experience


Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender. The expected base pay range for this position is CAD $145,000 - $175,000. Actual compensation may fall outside this range based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
