Work Environment

This full-time position allows for a flexible remote work setup, enabling you to effectively balance your professional commitments with your personal life. While you primarily work from home, occasional in-person engagement may be required for team meetings or special community events.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand and evaluate clients' social, emotional, and psychological needs, ensuring a tailored approach to each individual.
• Provide evidence-based individual and group counseling to support clients as they navigate various life challenges, utilizing therapeutic methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Develop comprehensive service plans that align with clients' aspirations and goals, regularly reviewing and adapting these plans as needed.
• Advocate for clients' rights and access to critical resources, while actively engaging in broader social justice advocacy efforts within the community.
• Contribute to program development, evaluation, and grant reporting, ensuring our projects align with best practices in social work.
• Collaborate closely with established community organizations, governmental entities, and other stakeholders to expand service offerings and ensure a holistic integrated approach to client care.
• Engage actively in team meetings, training programs, and community outreach initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Positive Steps Consultancy, you will primarily support a diverse population, including individuals facing terminal diagnoses, caregivers dealing with grief, and families seeking comfort and resources during difficult times. Your expertise will ensure clients receive compassionate support tailored to their unique circumstances and emotional needs.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution is required, ensuring a foundational understanding of social work principles.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), reflecting a recognized proficiency in the field.
• Strong communication, empathy, and organizational skills, proving essential in effectively connecting with clients and addressing their needs.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a nonprofit or community-focused organization is preferred, highlighting an understanding of broader social issues and advocacy.
• Knowledge and competence in trauma-informed care practices, social justice initiatives, and community resource navigation will be an asset in this role.

Compensation and Benefits
