Position Overview

Positive Pathways Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and fully licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our expanding team in a full-time telehealth capacity. The ideal candidate is passionate about mental health and eager to make a significant impact on the lives of our clients. With a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications, this position offers a unique opportunity to thrive in a supportive and innovative environment.

About the Organization

At Positive Pathways Counseling Center, we prioritize the mental well-being of our clients while fostering a collaborative and nurturing team atmosphere. Located in Savannah, Georgia, our center is distinct from traditional private practices as we emphasize flexible scheduling and a supportive work environment. We believe in empowering therapists to focus on client care rather than getting bogged down by administrative tasks, which is why we provide comprehensive support systems in billing, marketing, and clinical resources.

Work Environment

This role is conducted entirely through telehealth, allowing you to work remotely while maintaining a balance between your professional and personal life. The virtual setting enables the therapist to reach a broader range of clients in diverse locations, enhancing your ability to provide effective mental health services. As part of our dedicated team, you will collaborate with fellow professionals who share a commitment to transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting thorough assessments and developing individualized treatment plans aimed at helping clients achieve their therapeutic goals.
  • Providing evidence-based, prevention-oriented therapy tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Regularly reviewing and adjusting treatment plans based on client progress and feedback.
  • Engaging in interdisciplinary collaboration with other mental health professionals and community treatment providers.
  • Timely completion and maintenance of accurate client documentation, session notes, and treatment records using our electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Maintaining an active caseload while managing scheduling and client communications effectively.
  • Participating in team meetings to share insights, strategies, and foster a culture of continuous learning.
  • Contributing positively to our organizational culture by promoting a supportive environment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, and families facing various mental health challenges. Whether dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or trauma, your expertise will be essential in guiding clients toward improvement and recovery. The telehealth model allows you to extend services to clients potentially facing transportation or geographic barriers, ultimately improving access to quality care.

Qualifications
  • A valid and fully licensed mental health therapist credential, such as LPC, LMFT, or LCSW.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology; a Master's or Doctorate is preferred.
  • At least one year of relevant experience in mental health counseling or closely related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of community mental health resources and referral processes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Ability to build genuine rapport and trust with clients and their families.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team setting.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with teletherapy platforms and digital communication tools.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care.
  • Active involvement in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
Compensation and Benefits
  • A competitive annual salary range of $70,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and credentials.
  • Continuing education unit (CEU) reimbursement to support your professional development.
  • Incentives for growth, ensuring you are recognized for your contributions.
  • A fully supported administrative team, allowing you to focus on client care without additional business-related stress.
  • Insurance credentialing assistance to expand your practice reach.
  • Generous paid time off policies to promote work-life balance.
  • Comprehensive healthcare benefits, including Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO/HMO plans.
  • Dental and vision insurance options available.
  • 401K retirement plan with company matching.
  • Life insurance coverage.
