Position Overview

Positive Pathways Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) to join our dynamic team. Work Environment

This role is entirely remote, allowing therapists the flexibility to engage with clients from their home or any conducive environment. Working in a telehealth setting, you will utilize our cutting-edge technology to conduct sessions virtually, ensuring that you provide the same level of care as if you were meeting in person. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for children and adolescents to evaluate their individual needs and challenges.
  • Develop and implement detailed, personalized treatment plans that consider the developmental stages of clients and their family dynamics.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions through individual and family therapy sessions, focusing on a wide range of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.
  • Deliver family therapy sessions to support parents and caregivers, helping them foster nurturing environments for their children.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including child psychiatrists, to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
  • Respond to mental health emergencies with crisis intervention strategies tailored for children and adolescents.
  • Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources, enhancing their overall understanding of mental health.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
  • Engage actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development to stay informed about current best practices and advancements in mental health therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with children and adolescents, exploring various mental health conditions that impact their overall development and well-being. Our approach prioritizes understanding the unique challenges faced by young individuals and their families, with a focus on creating nurture-filled and affirming therapeutic environments.

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
  • Strong knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders along with experience utilizing various evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Proficiency in delivering therapeutic interventions and building therapeutic relationships with children and their families.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and clinical skills with a child-centered approach.
  • Ability to adapt and respond to the dynamic needs of patients within a telehealth framework.
Preferred Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience providing mental health counseling, specifically to children and adolescents.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and navigating the technological aspects of telehealth service delivery.
  • Familiarity with crisis intervention strategies and support techniques tailored to younger populations.
Compensation and Benefits
