Job description

Planet Technologies, the Nation’s leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing team as a M365 Organizational Change Management Consultant. In this role, you will be supporting impactful projects that make a difference for our country.

We are seeking an experienced Organizational Change Management (OCM) Consultant with deep expertise in Microsoft 365 and Microsoft 365 Copilot adoption and a strong understanding of the evolving agentic workplace. The ideal candidate has led enterprise-scale Copilot deployments and can help organizations move beyond technology implementation to sustained behavioral change and measurable business value. This individual should be skilled in stakeholder engagement, executive communications, training strategy, persona and use case development, adoption measurement, and change readiness assessments. Experience building champion networks and driving AI literacy programs across diverse business functions is highly desirable.

In addition to Microsoft 365 Copilot experience, the successful candidate should have practical experience supporting organizations on their agentic AI journey, including Copilot agents, agent governance, responsible AI practices, business process transformation, and workforce readiness. The consultant must be able to help business leaders identify high-value agent opportunities, define success metrics, prepare employees for new ways of working, and establish adoption strategies that balance innovation, governance, and user trust. Experience with Copilot Studio, agent governance frameworks, and organizational impacts of AI-driven automation is strongly preferred

Responsibilities
  • The OCM Consultant will work with the OCM Practice Manager and an elite team of likeminded OCM, learning strategists, technical professionals and project managers.
  • Conduct all OCM activities, including vision discovery, kickoff, change scope analysis workshops, interviews, surveys, focus groups, and more
  • Develop and execute new offerings related to Microsoft Copilot.
  • Strategize the change, by identifying the best options and avenues for communications and training and building communication, training and champions plans.
  • Build and share knowledge through various channels, including blogs, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Educate end-users, champions and stakeholders to make this transition or transformation beneficial without anxiety or fear.
  • Measure the success of the transition or transformation.
  • Adjust the plan implementing tactics to target specific needs.
  • Design and implement change management plans using best practices and a consistent methodology.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, change champions, and junior consultants.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, project managers, and IT professionals to ensure alignment between change management efforts and project objectives.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and build new OCM materials and engagements.
Skills Required
  • 5+ years of experience in change management or adoption functions.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 technologies, including Copilot , Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive - what are the best practices around them, what leads to build best practices, what use cases are the most valuable for most customers, how to identify use cases specific to customers, how to handle end-users and IT objections. 
  • Experience with GCC High migration projects, Copilot deployment and Power Platform is a plus.
  • Professional with excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Design and creative skills to make communication appealing and meaningful is definitively a plus. 
  • Must have the ability to proactively respond to internal/external questions and collaborate across internal/external teams. 
  • Experience with user research (qualitative and quantitative) and post-implementation reviews.
  • Will be able to problem solve efficiently within the specific area of expertise and suggest process improvement or standardization as requested and/or directed.  
  • Knowledgeable in the specific area of expertise to demonstrate a proactive approach to help customers make basic decisions around features and capabilities with the option of identifying and referring additional products or services within the specific areas of technical competence if needed and/or required for the customer. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in OCM projects applied to Microsoft 365.
  • The ability to lead assessment with C-Suites, end-users and IT contacts with a special focus on collaboration, governance, productivity, wellbeing and engagement.
  • A proven track record in working with customers to understand their business and culture.
  • Expertise working with enterprise customers in a strategic fashion to assess, envision, plan, design and oversee implementation of an OCM program.
  • A reputation for delivering results with a smile. 
  • The ability to excel in a fast-paced environment. 
  • A propensity to adjust to different cultures thinking out of the box. 
  • Experience with implementing Copilot agents a plus
  • PROSCI Certified Change Practitioner or Microsoft Adoption Specialist certification(s) is a plus
 
  • Core OCM knowledge 
  • Know and practice every piece of the methodology within the execution phase: communication, training, measuring, adjusting, establishing and nurturing community of champions; and support senior consultant in the build phase; interview preparation, survey preparation and analysis, focus group preparation.

Salaries for Consultants at Planet Technologies range from $120,000 and $210,000. Several factors will impact final pay offered to a successful candidate including but not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, clearance level, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, training, etc.
