Position Overview

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) at Phoenix Behavioral Hub is a pivotal role that involves delivering high-quality, evidence-based mental health services to students in a school environment. This full-time position is designed for professionals passionate about improving mental health outcomes in medically underserved communities. Working remotely from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the LCSW will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to children and adolescents exhibiting severe emotional disorders and major mental illness symptoms.

Work Environment

This role is based remotely but closely interacts with school systems across Pittsburgh to provide crucial services directly where students need them most. As part of a dynamic and diverse team, you will be engaging with educators, parents, and community members to foster a comprehensive support system for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations for students dealing with mental health challenges, employing evidence-based screening tools tailored for children and adolescents.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate the social and emotional needs of students while enabling access to necessary services.
  • Create and facilitate group therapy sessions, as well as provide one-on-one counseling aimed at improving coping skills and resilience among students.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff and external agencies to coordinate care and ensure the continuity of support services.
  • Deliver crisis intervention services when necessary, effectively managing safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all students.
  • Track progress and outcomes for clients utilizing data-driven methodologies, adjusting plans as needed to meet evolving needs.
  • Engage in community outreach to raise awareness about available mental health resources and reduce stigma around mental health issues within schools.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client population primarily consists of children and adolescents from diverse backgrounds in Pittsburgh's underserved areas. Many of these students struggle with significant emotional and behavioral challenges, including anxiety, depression, and trauma-related issues. Your work will be instrumental in providing these individuals with the tools and support they need to thrive academically and socially.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Pennsylvania.
  • Strong understanding of child development, mental health disorders, and evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging effectively with students, families, and school staff.
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team setting.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience working in a school setting is highly desirable.
  • Experience with creating and implementing treatment plans for children and adolescents.
  • Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems.
  • Knowledge of the local community resources and referral networks for mental health services.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 85,000.
