Position Overview

Active Path Counseling Center is actively looking for dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) to enhance our team of professionals focused on delivering high-quality mental health services. This full-time, remote position offers mental health counselors the flexibility to work from home while making a significant impact in the lives of individuals seeking support for various mental health challenges. The starting salary for this role ranges from $70,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health statuses, needs, and concerns.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that meet their specific goals.
  • Facilitate regular therapy sessions, utilizing individual or group therapy modalities tailored to the client's preferences and requirements.
  • Employ evidence-based treatment approaches, ensuring interventions are grounded in the latest research and practice standards.
  • Provide referrals to other healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists or community resources, as needed to enhance client care.
  • Document all client interactions accurately and promptly in the EHR system, maintaining compliance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Conduct crisis intervention as necessary, demonstrating strong crisis management skills and maintaining composure during challenging situations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele, managing a spectrum of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, substance abuse, trauma, and eating disorders. Our approach emphasizes cultural competence and responsiveness, allowing you to deliver tailored care that respects each client’s unique background and experiences. You will play an essential role in building rapport and trust with clients, enabling them to work through their challenges effectively.

Qualifications
  • A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Oregon.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in a mental health setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, and ethical guidelines relevant to practice.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to engage clients from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with both individual and group therapy dynamics, preferably within a community health or integrated care environment.
  • Familiarity with crisis management and intervention techniques.
  • Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for client management.
