Position Overview

Active Path Counseling Center is searching for a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time capacity. This position allows for remote engagement while providing invaluable support to clients navigating their mental health challenges. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial assessments to determine clients' mental health status and treatment needs, ensuring thorough documentation and accurate reporting.
  • Design and implement personalized therapy plans that address the unique needs of each client, employing evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities.
  • Facilitate regular follow-up sessions, providing ongoing support and progress evaluations, and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on client feedback.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, ensuring comprehensive care and referrals where appropriate.
  • Utilize crisis intervention techniques to support clients during challenging moments, demonstrating emotional intelligence and resilience.
  • Engage in continuous professional development, attending workshops and trainings to enhance your skills and stay abreast of industry best practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse range of clients struggling with various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and eating disorders. This diversity requires cultural competence and the ability to tailor treatment modalities to each client's background and specific challenges. Your role will be critical in empowering clients to develop coping strategies and achieve meaningful improvements in their mental well-being.

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Oregon.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience in mental health counseling with a proven track record of effective client outcomes.
  • Thorough understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches, along with a commitment to ethical practice and confidentiality.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling strong rapport building with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and experience with telehealth practices.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in outpatient settings, providing therapy to individuals and groups.
  • Demonstrated ability in crisis intervention and conflict resolution within a mental health context.
  • Experience with culturally responsive therapy practices and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
