Job description

Palmetto Automatic Sprinkler Co LLC (PASCO), an APi Group Life Safety USA company,has an opening for a self-motivated individual to join our team as a Security/Fire Alarm Estimator.
PASCO has 50 years of experience in the fire suppression industry. Located in South Carolina, PASCO has expanded its footprint to serve customers throughout the Southeast. We offer a range of services including: fire sprinkler systems, security /intrusion /camera/access systems, fire alarm and detection systems, special hazards systems, voice data systems and fire extinguisher products.
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the overall cost proposal development for assigned projects using customized software. Includes complete proposal/quote/estimate development including general conditions, subcontractor supplier items, mark-up, insurance, taxes and bonds, where applicable.
All functions must be performed accurately and within time constraints, adhering to safety and health rules and regulations, and demonstrating safe and ethical work practices.
Essential Job Functions
  • Reviews plans and specifications to determining scope of work.
  • Prepare complete and accurate estimates based on customer specifications, product cost, permit fees, AHJ requirements, etc.
  • Complete initial system design based on building type and occupancy using all applicable code requirements.
  • Coordinates and conducts site visits and generates subsequent site visit reports. Also attends in progress design reviews, pre-construction meetings and in progress site visits as applicable.
  • Enter material take offs into custom estimating software.
  • Prepare detailed proposals to submit to customers for approval.
  • Complete job handoff for obtained jobs and participates in Meeting 1 and 2 as applicable.
  • Complete job setup with budget values as well as a schedule of values to submit to accounting.
  • Reviews in progress designs generated by team member for accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of product.

Qualifications:
Ideal candidate with have:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • NICET II certification
