Job Duties and Responsibilities

The ADEF Team is hiring a Product Engineer that evaluates reliability of materials, properties and techniques used in production; Plans, designs and develops electronic parts, components, integrated circuitry, mechanical systems, equipment and packaging.
Key responsibilities of a Product Engineer are as follows:
  • Ability to independently evaluate, characterize, troubleshoot, and perform complex rework of RF/Microwave modules.

  • Collaborate with lead RF designers and mechanical engineers in recommending design and process improvements.

  • Perform ATP and DVT tests and summarize/communicate test results in the form of reports that could be shared with internal stakeholders and customers.

  • Lead breadboard testing of components during the design phase and make design recommendations.

  • Lead product qualification and any related activities.

  • Support failure analysis through validation and determination of the root cause analysis.

  • Support product engineering assignments

  • Must be able to format, analyze, and reach valid conclusions from data and be able to present process/product improvement recommendations to the product team as required. Document and present findings, for development, sustaining, and customer product support as required

Key Qualifications:
  • BS/MS Degree in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of experience.

  • Firm grasp of the basic concepts of analog RF and microwave electronics.

  • Familiarity with RF test equipment such as oscilloscopes, network & spectrum analyzers, power meters, switching matrix

  • Familiar with RF measurements, such as: compression (P1dB), phase noise, gain, spurious emissions, S parameter measurements.

  • Strong troubleshooting, reworking, and judgmental skills

  • Strong written and communication skills.

  • Great organization skills.

  • Excellent analytical skills: critical thinking, problem solving and data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to lead technical discussions and learning sessions.

  • Awareness of ADEF BU markets and its customers.

  • Can provide coaching for emerging engineers.

  • Participate in own career development planning.
