Schedule: Floater position for weekdays and weekends; 32-40 hours weekly

Job Summary and Qualifications

As the Onsite Patient Collections Specialist, you are responsible for assisting in verifying insurance co-pays, payment posting for patient's accounts, counseling patients on insurance benefits and co-payments. The Onsite Patient Collections Specialist position has the possibility to work 1 of 3 shifts at a local hospital. 

What you will do in this role:

  • Verify patient insurance 
  • Post payments to patient account 
  • Arrange for repayment or establish repayment schedules, based on customers' financial situations 
  • Submit money collected at the end of each shift. 
  • Data entry (knowledge of Excel spreadsheets) and scanning documents. 
  • Answer customer questions regarding their accounts 
  • Speak with patients face to face using excellent customer service abilities 
  • Reliable transportation is a requirement 

What qualifications you will need:

  • Minimum one year related experience preferred, preferably in healthcare
