SUMMARY
We have an exciting opportunity for a Paper Machine Superintendent/Supervisor in the north Richmond, VA area. This role will lead the daily paper machine operations ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency are met. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive execution of daily management systems, including structured shift handovers and production reviews.
- Monitor performance, identify losses, and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead, coach, and develop frontline supervisors and hourly employees to build capability and accountability.
- Champion a strong safety culture through visible leadership, audits, and incident investigations.
- Partner closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve reliability and process performance.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering, or related field a must.
- 5–8+ years of progressive experience in paper manufacturing industry
- Proven leadership experience managing supervisors and production teams
- Strong technical understanding of paper machine operations
- Demonstrated ability to drive results and continuous improvement
- Experience in a Assistant Superintendent, Process Engineer, Reliability Engineer, Asset Supervisor, or Production Plant Supervisor
- Exposure to reliability programs or manufacturing excellence systems
