Coating Machine Operator: 2nd Shift
Owatonna, MN | Full-Time
Are you hands-on, detail-oriented, and ready to be part of a high-performing team? We’re looking for a Coating Machine Operator who takes pride in quality, safety, and getting the job done right.
At Duraco Specialty Materials, you’ll play a key role in producing high-performance coated materials used across a wide range of industries. If you enjoy working with advanced equipment and want to grow your skills in a dynamic manufacturing setting — this is your opportunity.
What You’ll Do
  • Set up and operate coating machines for plastic films, paper, foil, and specialty materials
  • Monitor production runs and perform product testing to ensure quality standards
  • Verify product specifications and visually inspect materials during processing
  • Perform machine adjustments and basic maintenance to keep operations running smoothly
  • Prepare coating solutions according to specifications
  • Load and unload materials from equipment safely and efficiently
  • Enter production data and maintain accurate daily logs
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
What the Job Requires:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1–3 years of manufacturing or machine operation experience (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Basic math skills and comfort with data entry
  • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the facility
  • Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working around machinery in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong focus on safety and awareness of surroundings
  • Shows up ready to work and gets the job done
