The CDL Driver plays a vital role in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of bakery products along local routes, with no overnight travel required. This position offers competitive benefits including weekend overtime pay, health coverage, a sign-on bonus, and even free bread. Drivers are home every night and are expected to operate safely, provide excellent customer service, and support warehouse operations through loading, unloading, and vehicle maintenance.
Up to $3,000 sign-on bonus and time and a half on weekends!
In this role, you will:
  • Operate commercial vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic rules and regulations.
  • Transport goods and products on assigned local routes, ensuring on-time and accurate delivery.
  • Perform routine checks and maintenance on the assigned vehicle, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring proper handling and secure transportation.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and other documentation as required.
  • Interact professionally with customers and clients, providing excellent customer service during deliveries.
  • Maintain effective communication with dispatch, providing updates on delivery status and any issues encountered on the route.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including but not limited to transportation, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to changes in schedules or routes as required.

Qualifications:
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements. Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
  • Previous experience as a commercial driver is preferred. Ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Experience working independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work weekends or evening shifts (There are no overnight trips you will return home each workday)
