QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR (QC INSPECTOR) | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Sumter SC 29153 – 100% on-site
- Payrate: $16.50/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Rotating schedule: 3 days on, 2 days off and 2 days on, 3 days off
- Weekend work required as part of the rotation
QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR (QC INSPECTOR) | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Quality Control Inspector (QC Inspector) is responsible for performing inspections and testing activities to ensure products meet established quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR (QC INSPECTOR) | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform inspections and testing in accordance with established procedures and quality standards
- Analyze inspection results and identify nonconforming products or materials
- Determine product disposition based on inspection findings
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality guidelines
- Interpret engineering drawings, geometric dimensions, and tolerances
- Utilize precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality programs
- Follow equipment maintenance and calibration procedures
QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR (QC INSPECTOR) | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- 1+ years of quality control, inspection, manufacturing, or related experience
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Experience using precision measuring tools such as: Calipers, Micrometers, Pin gauges, Gauge blocks, Optical measurement equipment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and quality standards
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with calibrated inspection equipment
- Previous involvement in continuous improvement activities
- Understanding of quality systems and compliance standards
Additional Requirements
- Eye exam required
- Steel-toe shoes required
- Ability to work a rotating overnight schedule, including weekends
