Job Description:
Using Non Destructive equipment such as EMI and UT, NDT Operators will ensure the pipe or casing is free of imperfections. NDT Operators are responsible for assuring the NDT equipment is set up to assure we meet our quality standards as well as following Quality procedures
Responsibilities:
• Properly set up and calibrate equipment
• Maintain inspection equipment
• Changeover equipment
• Verify Inspection standards are still expectable
• Able to read Inspection chart and determine good or bad
• Communicating quality issues to quality supervisor and production
• Prep NDT reject samples in lab
Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Education: High School or equivalent. 40 hour UT course or 28 Hour EMI course
Years of Experience: 120+ hours of NDT experience with certifications
The incumbent is expected to understand that all employees have a shared responsibility for the quality of products and related services provided to our customers. Duties and responsibilities are to be carried out in accordance with the PTC Quality Management System and its policies, procedures, and work instructions as applicable to the job or function being performed.
Skills and Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using while numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Other Skills and Abilities: Must be computer literate and able to work with programs such as Word, Excel, etc., and be able to learn and use HP programs such as e-mail, ERP system, etc.

Level 1 or 2 in UT, EMI
