Job description

OCCU is seeking a detail-oriented Vehicle Title Specialist to join our onsite Titles team in Eugene, Oregon. Pay is $21.00–$23.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

About the Role:

The Title Representative supports OCCU’s title operations by processing titles, researching title questions, coordinating lien releases, and serving members, dealers, vendors, and internal teams. This role ensures title documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant.

Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy. You will work closely with internal partners, members, dealers, and third-party organizations to resolve title-related requests and ensure a positive stakeholder experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process incoming and outgoing vehicle titles accurately and efficiently.
  • Coordinate title releases, loan payoff documentation, and lien satisfaction activities.
  • Research and resolve title-related inquiries from members, dealers, vendors, and internal departments.
  • Process returned titles, update member records, and ensure accurate system documentation.
  • Maintain electronic and paper title records, including filing and tracking title documents.
  • Respond promptly to title and DMV-related requests while providing a high level of customer service.
  • Gather and verify documentation needed to complete title transactions.
  • Prepare title release reports and support other title-processing activities as needed.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work performed.

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum of six months of experience as a Title Clerk and DMV processing or related experience.
  • Strong customer service skills and commitment to providing professional and courteous support.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and complete work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
  • Ability to independently research, analyze, and resolve title-related issues.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to accurately document information and maintain records.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy and compliance requirements.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn and use multiple systems and tracking tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous title processing experience within a financial institution, dealership, title company, DMV environment, or lending operation.
  • Experience working with vehicle titles, lien releases, payoff processing, or collateral documentation.
  • Familiarity with electronic lien and title (ELT) systems.
  • Experience maintaining records and tracking documentation in multiple systems.
  • Knowledge of title processing requirements and DMV-related procedures.
  • Experience supporting loan payoff and title release activities.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business applications.
