The location: Falls Church, VA

The organization: The Military Health System (MHS)/Defense Heath Agency (DHA) is a global, comprehensive, integrated system that includes combat medical services, peacetime health care delivery, public health services, medical education and training, and medical research and development. The MHS currently includes 51 Inpatient Hospitals and Medical Centers, 424 Ambulatory Care and Occupational Health Clinics, and 248 Dental Clinics.
The DHA supports the Combatant Commanders and Military Services to execute the Department of Defense (DoD) medical mission in peacetime and wartime. The DHA is responsible for the administrative functions of all Markets and Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) for budgeting, Information Technology (IT), administration and management, policies and procedures, and construction. In addition to these administrative functions the DHA is responsible for the coordination and delivery of healthcare throughout the MHS in support of DHA's Strategy Map DHA is active around the world, with military and civilian experts supporting military health operations at military hospitals and clinics, as well as dental and veterinary clinics.
Essential duties
The Clinical Measurement (CM) Healthcare Data Analyst provides daily support for and management of healthcare quality data analysis and evaluation at the Market/SSO level to include technical aspects of (HEDIS, NPIC, NSQIP, TQIP NCQA, Hospital Compare, and Leapfrog). Supports MTF in same with coaching, mentoring and education. Corporate Headquarters-level or Regional experience with technical healthcare clinical measurement, data analysis and evaluation is required.
Healthcare Analytic consultation at HQ-level shall provide administration and management of healthcare clinical measurement (HEDIS, NPIC, NSQIP,TQIP NCQA, Hospital Compare, Leapfrog), assist with processes for assessing and reporting the quality of health and healthcare across the MHS enterprise in alignment with policy and regulation under the DHA Clinical Measurement program; solid understanding of healthcare clinical measurement strategies, measures, technical specifications, analysis and display of data; provides subject matter expertise and consultation to the CM leadership; prepares reports and briefs for multiple stakeholders across the MHS. Provides coaching, mentoring and education to Markets and MTFs.
 
  • Support procedures for the management of clinical measurements and evaluations
  • Provides guidance on participation in national quality database registries and provides support for all transparency domains as defined by National Patient Safety Foundation
  • Demonstrate competence with use of measures to assess the quality and safety of care delivered, clinical measurements used to identify trends, and focus quality improvement efforts in performance plans across the healthcare delivery system
  • Assessing and reporting the quality of health and healthcare across the MHS enterprise in alignment with policy and regulation under the DHA Clinical Measurement program
  • Maintain solid understanding of healthcare clinical measurement strategies, measures, analysis and display of data
  • Provide subject matter expertise and consultation to the CM leadership; prepare reports and brief for multiple stakeholders across the MHS
  • Knowledgeable on the use of measures to assess the quality and safety of care delivered, clinical measurements used to identify trends, and focus quality improvement efforts in performance plans across the healthcare delivery system
  • Management of clinical measurements and evaluations
Requirements
  • Regional experience with technical healthcare clinical measurement (HEDIS, NPIC, NSQIP,TQIP NCQA, Hospital Compare and Leapfrog)
  • MHS/DHA experience preferred

Four-Year+ Contract, location is Falls Church VA with a possibility of remote.
