Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting thorough clinical assessments to identify client needs and create individualized treatment plans that reflect evidence-based practices.
  • Facilitating individual, group, and family therapy sessions using modalities derived from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other recognized interventions tailored to client circumstances.
  • Implementing trauma-informed care approaches, employing sensitivity to clients who may have experienced significant trauma, and adapting techniques accordingly to support their growth.
  • Documentation of client interactions and treatment progress in compliance with all applicable California state regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Participating in ongoing professional development programs, case management meetings, and peer consultations to stay current with best practices in mental health.
  • Engaging actively in the clinic's initiatives to improve service delivery and patient outcomes through feedback and innovative ideas.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse clientele, addressing a wide array of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, and substance use disorders. Our clients come from various cultural, socioeconomic, and demographic backgrounds, allowing you to enrich your counseling practice through varied experiences and perspectives. Your ability to connect empathetically and create a safe therapeutic space will be essential in supporting their healing journey.

Qualifications
  • A valid LPCC license in California, in good standing.
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Clinical Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in mental health counseling, demonstrating competence in a therapeutic setting.
  • Strong proficiency in utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills that facilitate effective therapy and teamwork.
Preferred Experience
  • Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, streamlining documentation and enhancing client management.
  • Experience in working within multidisciplinary teams is an advantage, fostering collaborative treatment planning.
