Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Opti Mind Behavioral Health, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments to identify clients' needs and developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s circumstances.
  • Providing therapeutic support through various modalities, including individual, couple, and family therapy sessions that address emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges.
  • Implementing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care in treatment sessions.
  • Maintaining detailed documentation in compliance with California state regulations, ensuring all client records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Engaging in weekly case consultations and participating in professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and therapeutic strategies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals from varied backgrounds seeking assistance for issues such as relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, trauma, and family dynamics. Your role will significantly contribute to building resilience in clients and fostering healthier family relationships.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A valid LMFT license in California, held in good standing.
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience providing therapy to individuals, couples, and families.
  • Strong proficiency in implementing evidence-based therapeutic modalities and approaches.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational skills, and the ability to build rapport with clients.
Preferred Experience

While not required, preference will be given to candidates with:

  • Experience in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems for documentation and tracking client progress.
  • Specialized training in trauma-informed care or crisis intervention.
  • Skills in working collaboratively in a team-based approach across multiple disciplines.
