This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role for someone who loves hospitality, building relationships and writing great content.
What You'll Do
Media Relations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local, regional and national media across food, hospitality, lifestyle, business, travel and other relevant categories.
  • Proactively pitch reporters, editors and producers to secure meaningful earned media coverage for our brands.
  • Develop creative story angles tied to our brands, people, growth and industry trends.
  • Respond to inbound media requests and coordinate interviews, briefings and follow-up.
  • Build targeted media lists and coordinate media visits, interviews, influencer experiences and other press opportunities.
  • Monitor media coverage, track earned media results and use Muck Rack or similar tools to research journalists and identify opportunities.

Writing & Storytelling
  • Write media pitches, press releases, talking points, executive messaging, award submissions, briefing documents and other communications materials.
  • Create and publish content for FB Society's LinkedIn presence, including company news, media coverage, leadership perspectives and brand stories.
  • Adapt messaging for different audiences while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
  • Interview leaders, chefs and team members to uncover stories and perspectives connecting them to broader brand and company priorities.

PR Strategy & Brand Initiatives
  • Partner with the Vice President of Marketing & Communications to execute PR strategies across FB Society and its portfolio of brands.
  • Stay current on media trends, cultural conversations and the hospitality industry to identify opportunities.
  • Help manage FB Society's philanthropic efforts, including partnerships, events, communications and community initiatives.
  • Support restaurant openings, events, partnerships and other major brand moments.

Collaboration & Execution
  • Work closely with brand marketing, operations, culinary and leadership teams to uncover stories and gather information.
  • Build strong relationships across the organization and become a trusted resource for communications and messaging.
  • Manage multiple brands, projects and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
  • Coordinate with external PR agencies and partners when needed.
  • Prepare executives and spokespeople for interviews with key messages, background information and anticipated questions.
  • Be available to support restaurant openings, media opportunities and events that may occasionally require evenings or weekends.

What We're Looking For

  • Naturally curious and interested in hospitality, food, business and culture.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple brands and priorities.
