Job description

Location: 12581 Milstead Way , Woodbridge, VA 22192 - Cross Streets: Hoadly Rd. & Prince William Pkwy.
Status: Full-Time
Schedule: 12-hour shifts per week with 8-hour shifts every other weekend; clinic hours are 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM Mon - Fri and 8:00AM - 8:00PM Sat - Sun
Compensation: $65-$75/hour (based on experience) +monthly productivity bonus Benefits: Full-benefits package available SIGN ON BONUS: $5000.00 Position Summary We are seeking a Full Time clinician to join our team in Woodbridge, VA . This role is ideal for clinicians who value variety, autonomy, and meaningful community impact while practicing in a fast paced, well supported urgent care environment. Clinicians at NextCare enjoy true work life balance, including no after hours tasks, flexible scheduling, and monthly schedules released in advance. Our full time schedules are designed, so providers are off more days than they work. You'll be supported by experienced clinical teams, strong peer relationships, clear practice guidelines, and accessible medical leadership who provide real time guidance and mentorship. The work is engaging and varied, with a broad patient population and generally low acuity presentations that keep skills sharp without the pressure of inpatient follow-up. Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting
  • Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
  • Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging
  • Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management (as applicable)
  • Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
  • Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
  • Code and bill services appropriately
  • Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks
  • Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values
Required Qualifications
  • Active, unrestricted Virginia license for PA
  • Board certification or eligibility, as applicable
    • NCCPA certification
  • Active DEA license (or ability to obtain)
  • Ability to treat patients of all ages
  • Active BLS certification
  • EHR proficiency
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays
  • DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast track experience
  • Strong procedural skills (e.g., suturing, splinting, wound care)
  • Experience with initial x ray interpretation prior to radiology over read
