The Opportunity

Position: Medical Oncology Nurse Practitioner Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with potential flexibility once a 2nd APP is hired (4x10s).

Work Setting: Primarily outpatient clinic, with the potential for private office space.

Duties: Manage a patient load of up to 15 patients per day, focusing on follow-up care, symptom management, and continuity of care for oncology patients.

Training: Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure you feel confident and supported as the inaugural APP in our program.

Position Summary

MultiCare Health System is seeking a Medical Oncology Nurse Practitioner to join our well-established, thriving and comprehensive practice. Providers at MultiCare are recognized as being among the best in the Northwest Region. Here, you'll find everything you need to excel in your job including outstanding facilities, comprehensive resources and talented teammates in partnering for healing and a healthy future. Practicing within a Commission on Cancer (CoC)-accredited comprehensive cancer program, you'll play a vital role in delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care as part of a multidisciplinary oncology team..ResponsibilitiesProvides specialized care for patients undergoing cancer treatment, including administering systemic therapies such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted agents.Assess and manage treatment-related symptoms.Coordinate care across disciplines, and support patients through education, counseling, and survivorship planning.Work alongside oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and other specialists to coordinate holistic patient care.Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests and imaging.Offer clear guidance on follow up care, medication regimens, and lifestyle modifications to support informed decision-making.Participate in tumor boards, care conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.Document all patient interactions and clinical decisions in the electronic medical record (EMR).Stay current with oncology best practices, emerging therapies, and clinical guidelines through continuing education and training.Requirements Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner programCurrent ARNP certification and licensure in Washington State DEA, NPI & prescriptive authorityCurrent BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $171,000.00 - $181,800.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
