MuleSoft Jobs Information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a QA Engineer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a QA Engineer, you need a solid understanding of software testing principles, programming or scripting knowledge, and familiarity with quality assurance methodologies, often supported by a degree in computer science or a related field. Experience with test automation tools (such as Selenium or JUnit), bug tracking systems, and sometimes certifications like ISTQB are typically required. Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills help QA Engineers identify issues and collaborate effectively with development teams. These skills ensure the delivery of reliable, high-quality software products that meet user requirements and business goals.

How does a QA Engineer typically collaborate with developers and other team members during the software development lifecycle?

QA Engineers work closely with developers, product managers, and sometimes UX/UI designers throughout the software development lifecycle. They participate in sprint planning meetings, provide input on testability during requirements discussions, and collaborate with developers to understand new features and identify potential issues early. Regular communication helps ensure that quality standards are met and bugs are addressed promptly, resulting in a more efficient release process and higher-quality products. This collaborative environment also provides QA Engineers with opportunities to expand their technical knowledge and grow within the team.

What are QA Engineers?

QA Engineers, or Quality Assurance Engineers, are professionals responsible for ensuring that software products meet established quality standards before they are released to customers. They design and execute tests, identify bugs or issues, and work closely with development teams to resolve problems. QA Engineers play a crucial role in the software development lifecycle by preventing defects, improving product reliability, and ensuring a smooth user experience. Their work may involve manual testing, automated testing, and creating test documentation.

What is the difference between Qa Engineer vs Software Tester?

The main difference between a Qa Engineer and a Software Tester lies in their scope and responsibilities. Qa Engineers typically focus on automation, quality processes, and strategic testing, while Software Testers mainly perform manual testing and bug reporting. Both roles are essential for ensuring software quality, but Qa Engineers often have a broader role in quality assurance and process improvement.

About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn't a buzzword - it's a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You're in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

Overview of the Role:
MuleSoft, the industry-leading integration, API management, and agent management platform, empowers enterprises globally to unlock data and accelerate innovation. With Agentforce woven into every layer of our platform, our product managers build intelligent systems that shape how modern enterprises connect applications, expose and govern APIs, and exchange transactions with their trading partner ecosystems. We are looking for a Product Manager to own the vision, strategy, and end-to-end execution of our Integration, API Management, and Business-to-Business (B2B) Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) product portfolio - serving as the connective tissue between engineering, customers, partners, and go-to-market teams.
This role is based in US or Canada.
Responsibilities:

  • Own the innovation roadmap for core application integration, API Management, and B2B/EDI - balancing near-term customer needs with long-term platform bets including AI-assisted integration, agentic patterns, and emerging protocols - and partner with Engineering, Design, and Architecture to ship high-quality releases on a predictable cadence.

  • Run structured discovery with enterprise customers and prospects to understand their integration landscape and pain points, act as a trusted advisor on existing platform capabilities, and build a standing customer council to convert insight into roadmap conviction.

  • Partner with Solution Engineering, Professional Services, and Customer Support to improve deal conversion, drive successful implementations, and own end-to-end enablement strategy across Sales, partners, and the field.

  • Drive the full product lifecycle from discovery through general availability (GA) and adoption, defining and instrumenting key performance indicators (KPIs) for every major initiative and communicating trade-offs clearly to leadership and the field.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of product management experience for developer, enterprise, or platform products, or an equivalent combination of product management and deep technical roles such as integration architect or solution architect, with a proven track record of shipping products that customers adopt and pay for.

  • Solid experience across integration patterns including application integration, event-driven architecture, data transformation, and full lifecycle API Management (design, publish, govern, monitor, retire) covering REST, GraphQL, and API security standards such as OAuth 2.0.

  • Hands-on experience with B2B integration standards including EDI X12 and/or EDIFACT, AS2/SFTP transport, and trading partner onboarding.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to move fluidly between technical discussions with engineers and high-level conversations with business executives, backed by a data-driven approach to defining KPIs and product priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform or comparable Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) and API management platforms such as Boomi, Workato, Apigee, or Kong.

  • Familiarity with AI-era integration including large language model (LLM)-assisted integration, agentic workflows, and how these reshape classic iPaaS.

  • Experience with hyperscaler integration services and competitive positioning against native cloud alternatives.

  • Exposure to regulated-industry B2B integration use cases in healthcare, supply chain management, or financial transactions.
