Job description

Primary Purpose:
Entry level, does not possess recognized certification. Handles routine operations, working towards certification in 1 of 5 areas in rendering operations: Load Out Operator, Receiving Operator, Utility Operator, Feather/Blood Operator, Meat Operator. Understands the basic theory, practical knowledge and skills to safely and successfully function as an entry level rendering operator. Possesses additional basic general operator skills.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Operate equipment involved in the production of animal proteins and fat.
  • Monitor and oversee the cooking process, collection of samples and testing of product to ensure Quality Assurance specifications are met.
  • Monitor environmental equipment to ensure that compliance is met and to be able to operate a forklift and skid steer loaders.
  • Follow all company safety policies, S.O.P. regulations, as well as support the Goal Zero mission statement.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-2 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must possess the appropriate certification to operate a forklift and/or skid steer loaders.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of safety policies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
