Key Responsibilities

As an Occupational Therapist at Mindful Essence Wellness, your primary responsibilities will encompass:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients’ physical and cognitive abilities to formulate effective and evidence-based treatment plans.
• Implementing therapy sessions that are individualized to enhance patients’ functional independence in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Utilizing a wide range of therapy modalities and tools, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, adaptive devices, and splinting materials, ensuring the most appropriate techniques are applied for each patient.
• Providing patient and family education on adaptive techniques, postural control, body mechanics, and home exercise programs tailored to enhance recovery outcomes.
• Maintaining clear and comprehensive documentation of patient evaluations, treatment notes, and progress reports, ensuring compliance with insurance protocols.
• Engaging in regular communication with interdisciplinary team members and consulting with physicians to optimize care delivery and monitor treatment progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from a school accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), progression towards a Master's or Doctoral Degree is welcomed.
• A current and valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Connecticut.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and a strong ability to communicate and connect with patients and their families effectively.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, we value previous experience in a rehabilitation setting, particularly with patients requiring adaptive therapies. Familiarity with various therapeutic equipment and a proactive approach to continuing education will further enhance your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is USD 70,000 – 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
