Position Overview

MindShift Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic team as a full-time Mental Health Counselor. Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain positive, trusting relationships with patients to create a safe therapeutic environment.
• Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose mental health disorders and formulate individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
• Engage in regular counseling sessions, either individually or in group settings, while providing empathetic guidance and support.
• Continuously monitor and assess patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to optimize outcomes.
• Provide crisis intervention and assess emotional distress to ensure immediate support and resources are available to patients in need.
• Consult and collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and refer clients to specialized services as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patient population you will serve includes a diverse range of individuals and families grappling with mental health issues, from anxiety and depression to more complex psychological disorders. Our aim is to provide holistic care that acknowledges and respects each patient's background and circumstances. By addressing both immediate challenges and long-term coping strategies, you will help clients build resilience and improve their overall mental health.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• Current and valid LCSW license issued in Oregon.
• A minimum of three years of experience working in an outpatient setting, providing mental health counseling.
• Proficient technical skills, including experience with electronic medical records, word processing, and data management systems.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective teamwork and patient interaction.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), is highly beneficial. Experience in a remote work environment and proficiency in telehealth platforms will be advantageous as you transition into this role.
