Job description

This position can be filled within the Midco footprint of SD, ND, MN, KS, or WI.
Job Summary:
The Midco Properties Inside Sales Account Executive is responsible for driving customer retention and revenue growth by managing inbound inquiries and conducting proactive outreach to existing business customers. The role strengthens customer relationships by addressing service concerns, identifying renewal or upsell opportunities, and delivering professional presentations to support informed decisions. Through these efforts, the role plays a central part in sustaining customer satisfaction and supporting organizational sales goals.
Responsibilities:
  • Service incoming calls, and emails from business customers inquiring about Midco products and services.
  • Build relationships with the current customer base to enable renewal and growth of embedded
  • Make outbound calls to current customers to improve relationships and reduce the propensity to end Midco services through needs-based questioning.
  • Actively support Outside Account Executives by sharing lead insights, assisting with proposal development, and ensuring timely follow-up on shared opportunities.
  • Retain business customers through identifying customer concerns and selling the value of Midco products and services.
  • Identify trends causing termination of services and provide feedback as necessary to management team for consideration.
  • Develop and deliver professional sales presentations to MDU stake
  • Secure Letters of Permission or Contracted Service
  • Qualify and develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotations and
  • Meet or exceed organizational goals for lead development, new revenue, upselling, and add-on
  • Coordinate internally with Business Client Fulfillment and Operations teams to ensure a smooth handoff and positive onboarding experience for clients.
  • Refer leads as appropriate to Residential, Business, MDU, and Advertising sales
  • Utilize CRM for all activities in the sales process, including but not limited to recording customer transactions and interactions, contract, and pipeline management.
  • Model Midco's mission, vision, values, ethos, and Leadership Success Drivers, and inspire others to do the same.
  • Ensure customer privacy by adhering to Midco's privacy guidelines while actively following Midco policies and procedures.
  • Maintain reliable and predictable attendance as required by the position.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Highschool Diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of previous sales experience in a telecommunications/broadband industry.
  • Ability to meet and over-achieve quota or goals.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field and/or an equivalent level of education or work experience.
  • 2 years of previous sales experience in a telecommunications/broadband industry.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamic or similar CRM.

The hiring range for this position is $18 to $24 per hour. The actual base wage offered will be determined based on multiple factors including internal equity, location, and the individual's job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
In addition to base pay, this position is eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.
Work Environment:
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
  • May be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings and weekends as business demands
  • Heavy keyboard/mouse usage required with repetitive movements.

Physical Demands:
  • May occasionally be required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and operating standard office equipment (keyboard, mouse, phone, etc.).
  • Ability to read detailed information on screens, dashboards, and printed materials; may require prolonged screen time.

Mental Demands:
  • Evaluate account information to qualify opportunities, prepare proposals, and support outbound retention efforts.
  • Attention to detail to accurately document customer interactions, maintain CRM records, and manage contracts and pipeline entries.
  • Prioritize time to balance inbound calls, outbound outreach, follow-ups, onboarding coordination, and internal communication across multiple teams.
