THE JOB:
As a Lounge Server at MGM Grand, you will create memorable guest experiences by delivering exceptional beverage service in a fast paced, high energy lounge environment. With a welcoming personality and attention to detail, you will engage with guests, anticipate their needs, and help create an exciting atmosphere that reflects the energy and entertainment of MGM Grand. From expediting drink orders to providing attentive service, you will play an important role in delivering unforgettable moments for every guest.
THE STARTING RATE: $14.5457/Hour
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
  • Complete opening side duties fold/stack cocktail napkins, stock swizzle sticks, straws, matches, line cocktail trays, stock glassware, restock supply cabinet, inspect cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas; rectify any deficiencies.
  • Knowledge of liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available on the casino floor.
  • Knowledge of designated glassware and garnishes for each drink.
  • Communicate order into system through Bartender; ensure transmission is verified.
  • Knowledge of Hotel services and features as well as local attractions and activities to respond to guest inquiries.
  • Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refers the matter to management; notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.
  • Successful completion of Restaurant Training Program and testing is required.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • Is 21+ years of age
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
  • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays required.
  • Experience working in a similar resort setting preferred.
