THE JOB:
The Cage Cashier is responsible for the efficient operation of assigned cage locations in full compliance with departmental policies and procedures. This role involves accurately processing monetary transactions and exchanges for both internal and external guests, while maintaining thorough balancing documentation to support financial reporting.
The Cage Cashier is also entrusted with safeguarding company assets, upholding strict internal controls, and ensuring full adherence to all applicable state gaming regulations and compliance standards.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
  • Perform front-line entry-level transactions like Cash Advances and Electronic Check Cashing. Also complete employee bank/window transactions when assigned in the Employee/Satellite Bank
  • Cash specific types of checks for guests within the specified guidelines; redeem TITO (ticket in/ticket out) for guests
  • Secure and document all record able transactions made with company assets; record all checks cashed in the specified computer system
  • Complete electronic multiple transaction logs accurately, complete transaction logs manually, when necessary; balance bank at end of shift
  • Assist guests with general information upon request

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • Must be 18 years or older and able to obtain proper licensure as required by the New York State Gaming Commission
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Is available to work a 10:30pm-6:30am shift, to include weekends and holidays
  • Must possess at least 6 months of prior relevant customer service experience
  • Has 1 year of prior relevant cashiering experience

Pay Rate
The rate for this role is:
$31.64
Pay is subject to review following 90 days of employment.
This is a tip eligible position.
Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements.
Eligible employees have the opportunity to participate in medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans as well as 401(k) and time off plans. Specific program offerings vary by eligibility factors such as geographic location, employment status, and union membership.
