Job description

Role: Manufacturing Quality Specialist (IPC, Fluke MET/CAL and MET/TEAM calibration, pressure gauges, tachometers, thermometers, calipers..etc)

Location: Dayton OH (ZIP CODE- 45377 and 45414)

Term: Contract long term


Responsibilities

  1. Management of test equipment pool, knowledge of various types of test equipment uses and functions to assist with assignment of correct equipment for requested test plans. Includes items such as pressure gauges, tachometers, thermometers, calipers, scales, oscilloscopes, power supplies, power analyzers, Data Acquisition Systems, and many more.
  2. Familiar with the use of Fluke MET/CAL and MET/TEAM calibration and asset management systems for equipment tracking, periodic service scheduling, and PC based equipment control scripting to create and perform automated equipment certification routines.
  3. Work with cross functional teams to establish calibration requirements for custom test equipment designed and built on site
  4. Strong knowledge of electrical safety principles and the ability to work safely with high power and high energy equipment while systems are energized.
  5. Ensures all calibrations adhere to ISO 9001, ISO 10012-1, ISO/IEC 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540, and NIST traceability standards and company SOPs.
  6. Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair out-of-tolerance conditions, performing necessary adjustments and alignments.



Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college / High school diploma / GED with at least 8 years of relevant experience
  • At least 3-4 years of experience in Quality and QA Engineering
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Strong oral, written communication skills, excellent customer relationship building skills, strong interpersonal and leadership skills


Preferred qualifications

  1. Certification by the American Society for Quality (ASQ) as a Certified Calibration Technician (CCT)
  2. Familiarity with IPC standards such as IPC-J-STD, IPC-610, and IPC-620 for soldering and cable or harness assembly.
  3. Demonstrated capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
