Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our telehealth team at Maxim Healthcare & Psychiatric Services. In this full-time role, you will engage in transformative individual and group therapy sessions, specifically catering to women and teens affected by domestic violence, as well as implementing Play Therapy for children. Your expertise will significantly contribute to improving the mental health and well-being of our clients, while collaborating closely with our multi-disciplinary treatment team.

Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, allowing you the flexibility to provide essential counseling services from the comfort of your home, while also facilitating in-office days as required. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine the appropriate treatment goals for each client.
• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions tailored to the unique needs of teens and adults navigating the challenges of domestic violence.
• Document all counseling sessions and maintain accurate treatment records in compliance with confidentiality and ethical guidelines.
• Provide crisis intervention and emotional support through various methods, ensuring clients' immediate needs are met.
• Connect clients with community resources and referrals to promote holistic recovery and empowerment.
• Monitor and report on the progress of counseling cases, ensuring effective interventions and appropriate modifications to treatment plans as needed.
• Participate actively in weekly clinical supervision meetings to enhance your professional development and improve service delivery.
• Advocate for clients, ensuring they receive the support and resources necessary to address the impacts of domestic violence on their lives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will primarily be on individuals affected by domestic violence, with a specific emphasis on providing services to women, teens, and children. Understanding the complexities of trauma and its long-lasting effects, you will implement targeted therapeutic interventions that facilitate healing and resilience in your clients. Additionally, your ability to integrate Play Therapy will provide a unique opportunity to engage younger clients in a therapeutic process, promoting their emotional expression and healing.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Current and active LCPC license is mandatory for this position.
• Strong experience in individual counseling and family interventions is essential.
• Flexibility to work late afternoon hours (3-8 PM) at least two evenings per week is required, with preference for candidates who can accommodate some weekend availability.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to participate in in-office responsibilities when necessary.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in delivering Play Therapy services will be regarded favorably, enhancing your capability to engage children effectively.
• Previous experience in remote therapy settings or familiarity with telehealth systems is advantageous.
• Demonstrated strength in community outreach and resource connection will be beneficial in client advocacy roles.

Compensation and Benefits

Our competitive salary ranges from USD 70,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and skill level. In addition to your salary, there is a sign-on bonus available. The caseload will be tailored to your availability and experience, ensuring a manageable workload that fosters professional efficacy.
