Job description

Our customer has a Direct Hire opportunity for a Relationship Development Manger here in Columbus, OH. They are a SaaS software modernization company who is officially endorsed by Microsoft to serve the upgrade market. 

In this role, you will get to build relationships with a wide range of companies in US and international markets as you help them buy solutions that preserve and enhance their software assets. We focus on customer satisfaction and continuous improvements of our people, products, and processes.

Our customer seeks an account executive with 3-7 years of experience selling IT Consulting or Project Solutions, and the following profile is key:

Mandatory Attributes

  • Have an urgent and earnest desire to create mutually successful business relationships and see our customer become the leading provider within their solutions space.
  • Experience with turning generated leads in to sales generated
  • Ability to develop an understanding of the customers tools and services offerings
  • Collaborate and formulate partner agreements and joint proposals with third-party IT services organizations planning modernization work using their tools and methods
  • Excellent organization and communications skills as well as an understanding of the art of selling IT services and products
  • Assist customers with setting scope and budget for modernization projects
  • Have a working understanding of software development in various settings (corporate, consulting, government, products)
  • Working understanding of IT services business in various settings (corporate, consulting, government, products)
  • Provide input into the design and execution of marketing operations to increase lead quality
  • Develop project proposals and budgets for both fixed-bid and T&M engagements
  • Diligence in tracking and advancing leads to concrete conclusions
  • Experience and skill with MS office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)


Desirable Attributes

  • Ability to understand, define, and improve the sales process including measuring and improving KPIs (using SFDC)
  • Experience with using salesforce.com (SFDC) to track and nurture leads, accounts, contacts, and opportunities
  • desire to see the GM-way to become the "obvious and only way" to do successful modernization projects
  • Ability to design and conduct competitive analysis
  • Carefully review and if necessary, amend contracts to protect the interests of GM
  • Research market trends and customer needs that may drive product development to increase sales and customer satisfaction
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Be well-read in the sales literature
  • Have or develop an understanding of Microsoft software development trends and history
