Role Description This is a full-time, Health Insurance Agent role located in Tampa Bay and Sarasota/Manatee areas. The Health Insurance Agent will meet with prospective and existing clients to assess needs, explain health insurance and Medicare options, and recommend suitable plans. Daily responsibilities include conducting consultations, preparing and presenting quotes, processing applications, and maintaining accurate records in compliance with regulatory requirements. The role involves building and managing a client portfolio, following up on renewals, responding to inquiries, and coordinating with carriers to resolve issues. The agent will also stay current on industry changes, product updates, and compliance standards to provide accurate, up-to-date guidance.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess skills in Health Insurance and Medicare to advise clients on a range of coverage options.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Insurance Brokerage to manage carrier relationships and present multiple plan options effectively.
  • Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to explain complex information clearly, build trust, and provide client-focused service.
  • Active state health insurance license (or ability to obtain one within a defined timeframe).
  • Experience in health insurance sales, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to work with targets and deadlines while maintaining compliance and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with basic office software and CRM systems for tracking leads, policies, and client interactions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, finance, or healthcare is beneficial.
