Job Title: Robot Technician
2nd shift
Starting pay: $32 an hour
Job Summary
Reporting to the Shift Maintenance Supervisor and supported by the Robotics Engineer, the Robotic Technician Level I ensures proper operation and repair of robotic automation in a foundry/casting environment.
Responsibility
- Provide general ABB robot troubleshooting.
- Adjust robot positions to meet quality requirements.
- Replace robot cabling as needed.
- Perform Preventative maintenance on robot and controller.
- Perform Preventative maintenance on EOAT's including testing function.
- Identify opportunities to improve uptime and reduce costs through understanding downtime and implementation of preventative solutions for long term success.
- Observe and practices all applicable lockout/tagout requirements during all activities.
- Understands robotic and cell safety.
- Other duties as assigned.
Academic/Educational Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 years' Robotic Tech experience in a manufacturing setting.
Required Skills/Experience
- Prior robot programming experience is required.
- Must be self-motivated with an ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot.
- Must be able to read and understand work instructions.
- Ability to communicate with all levels within plant.
- Must possess mechanical, electrical and computer.
