Position Overview

Life Edge Behavioral Health Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team. In this full-time, remote role, you will have the opportunity to provide essential mental health support to individuals affected by trauma, utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities to foster healing and resilience.

Work Environment

This position operates within a telehealth setting, allowing flexibility and accessibility for both therapists and clients. Your work schedule will generally follow a Monday to Friday format, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate the varying needs of our patients. Our digital platform enables seamless communication and collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team, ensuring that all patients receive comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' unique trauma histories and inform personalized treatment strategies.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that target trauma recovery and promote resilience, incorporating patient feedback and progress measures.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to the specific needs of each patient.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, empowering patients to process trauma and develop effective coping strategies in a supportive environment.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and allied health professionals to ensure an integrated and holistic approach to patient care.
• Deliver crisis intervention support as needed, maintaining a calm demeanor in high-stress situations to ensure patient safety and well-being.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, healthy coping mechanisms, and available resources to support their journey toward recovery.
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in line with legal and ethical standards, actively participating in case consultations and team meetings.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, staying abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy and crisis intervention.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals affected by trauma, including those with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. By utilizing a trauma-informed lens, you will contribute to their recovery journeys, helping to build resilience and adaptive coping strategies. The aim is to create a therapeutic partnership that empowers clients to navigate their experiences and foster healing.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Arizona.
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, with a focus on trauma-informed care.
• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and an array of treatment modalities aimed at addressing these issues.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, combined with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other clinical applications to optimize patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions in both individual and group settings.
• An understanding of resilience-building approaches within therapeutic contexts.
• Experience in crisis intervention and supporting patients during acute trauma situations.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, reflecting your experience and expertise in the field. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
