Your expertise will play a crucial role in guiding clients through their personal challenges, fostering their emotional well-being, and promoting overall mental health.

About the Organization

At Life Change Behavioral Center, we take pride in being a premier provider of mental health services in Los Angeles. This position primarily operates in a remote outpatient setting, allowing you to engage with clients from the comfort of your home while maintaining a balanced work-life dynamic. We believe in providing our counselors with the flexibility needed to thrive both personally and professionally, offering a work culture that values respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' needs and formulate individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
  • Facilitate group, family, and couples therapy sessions to promote healing and communication among participants.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care delivery tailored to each client's circumstances.

  • Engage in continual professional development through workshops and training to stay abreast of current practices in mental health care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will encompass working with a diverse clientele, including individuals and families who face various mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance misuse. Many of our clients may have limited access to conventional mental health resources, and as a counselor, you will be instrumental in bridging that gap and advocating for their needs.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • Possession of active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California.
  • A minimum of two years of counseling experience in a clinical setting is necessary.
  • A sound understanding of legal and ethical standards in mental health counseling.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, necessary for establishing rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team, contributing to comprehensive care strategies.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software and related technologies is an asset.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance abuse counseling is highly preferred.
  • Experience utilizing various therapeutic techniques tailored to individual client needs is beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload. In addition to financial compensation, we provide a robust benefits package, including:

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance options.
  • Malpractice insurance coverage.
  • Support with billing and documentation to enhance your clinical focus.
  • Opportunities for client referrals to help build your caseload.

At Life Change Behavioral Center, we are committed to the professional growth of our team members. You will have access to ongoing professional development and opportunities for specialization in different therapeutic modalities. As a key member of our team, you will also have avenues to participate in leadership training and supervision for upcoming counselors.
