What You'll Do
As a Field Service Technician at Lantech, you'll combine technical skill with customer interaction while working both in the field and at our facility.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support customers across the United States through on-site service and support
- Perform equipment start-ups, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs
- Train customers on equipment operation and maintenance
- Coordinate information between customers and internal Lantech teams to resolve issues
- Provide technical phone support when not traveling
- Perform quality control inspections of equipment prior to shipment
- Travel up to 75%, with a comprehensive up to 6-month training program based in Louisville, KY
We're seeking a self-motivated, customer-focused technician who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys hands-on problem solving.
You're a great fit if you:
- Have strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Are a self-starter comfortable working independently and with customers
- Possess excellent communication and customer service skills
- Are team-oriented with a strong commitment to quality
- Have experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical industrial equipment
- Have experience with PLC logic development and troubleshooting
- Demonstrate proficiency with basic computer applications
- Are legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- 3-5 years of experience in field service or equipment maintenance in a related industry
- Experience reading mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics preferred
- Experience with packaging equipment strongly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical schooling in electricity, electronics, or equipment maintenance (2+ years) preferred
