Job description

Location & Flexibility

This is a hybrid role designed for both flexibility and connection. While remote work is supported, the position requires a consistent on-site presence at our Kalamazoo, MI headquarters, particularly from April through October, when customer visits and in-person collaboration are at their peak.

Ideal candidates will reside within driving distance and be comfortable adjusting their schedule to support increased on-site engagement during this time.

About The Role

Studio 431 brings custom ideas to life for Landscape Forms customers, creating unique solutions for outdoor spaces that go beyond our standard product offering.

As a Sales Project Specialist, you'll work at the intersection of sales, design, manufacturing, and the customer, helping move custom projects from initial inquiry and specification through quoting, follow-up, and ultimately, order conversion.

You'll take an active role in managing and advancing multiple project opportunities at once—building relationships with clients, understanding project needs, developing quotes and specifications, coordinating across internal teams, and keeping opportunities moving toward a successful close.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys the commercial side of project-based work: building relationships, solving problems, managing details, and seeing a project progress from an idea to a finished solution.

We're looking for someone who is proactive, organized, comfortable communicating with clients, and motivated by winning business. Experience working in construction, building products, commercial furniture, architectural products, design, manufacturing, or another project-driven B2B environment would translate especially well to this role.

What You Can Expect

Support, stability, and the opportunity to grow within a design-driven, collaborative environment.

Landscape Forms takes pride in offering a competitive benefits package including, but not limited to, insurance benefits (available your first day), 401(k), family and parenting leaves, tuition reimbursement, wellness programs, quarterly bonuses, and paid time off.

Who We Are

Landscape Forms is the industry leader in integrated solutions of high-design site furniture and advanced LED lighting. For more than 50 years we have produced site furnishings that help designers and other clients achieve beautiful, functional environments that enhance the experience of outdoor space. Our secret is simple. Design, Culture, and Craft drive everything we do.

How You Contribute

  • Support the execution of the company's go-to-market strategy by advancing and tracking sales opportunities
  • Develop product specifications and build relationships within targeted design firms, contractors, and key accounts
  • Partner with Business Development Representatives to move opportunities through the sales pipeline and support conversion into orders
  • Provide quote development and pricing support for custom project opportunities
  • Manage and respond to inbound leads and inquiries, ensuring timely and professional client communication
  • Manage client and sales communications across shared territory inboxes and project channels
  • Contribute to and be accountable for Studio 431 team sales goals and order volume
  • Support closing activities with designated accounts and active opportunities
  • Coordinate and distribute client-facing materials (e.g., samples, product information) to support sales efforts
  • Maintain accurate opportunity tracking and activity within Salesforce (or CRM)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment on project timelines, scope, and deliverables
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes that enhance the customer and sales team experience
  • Work within established timelines and budgets while maintaining quality and responsiveness
  • Participate in additional sales and project-related activities as needed

Criteria for Success

  • 3–5 years of experience in project-based sales, account management, inside sales, business development, estimating/quoting, or customer-facing project coordination
  • Experience working in a B2B, project-driven environment where you've helped manage opportunities, customers, quotes, specifications, or projects from initial request through completion
  • Experience within commercial furniture, architectural products, building materials, construction, manufacturing, design, or a similar industry is strongly preferred
  • Experience working with architects, designers, contractors, dealers, manufacturers, or other project-based B2B customers is especially valuable
  • Strong relationship-building skills and an interest in the commercial side of project work
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly convey project and technical information to a variety of audiences
  • Highly organized with strong follow-up skills and the ability to keep multiple opportunities moving simultaneously
  • Proactive and comfortable taking ownership rather than waiting for direction
  • Comfortable working with pricing, measurements, specifications, and other project details
  • Able to collaborate effectively across sales, design, engineering, manufacturing, and other internal teams
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or another CRM is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred

Physical Requirements And Work Environment

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, sit, or walk for up to 5 hours
  • This hybrid role may include time in manufacturing or warehouse environments, which can be noisy or warm and include proximity to moving machinery

At Landscape Forms, we're driven by design, collaboration, and continuous improvement. If you're looking to be part of a team that values both performance and people, we'd love to hear from you.
