Job description

Mitigation Project Manager
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Salary: $65,000–$75,000 + Uncapped Performance Bonuses
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mitigation Project Manager to oversee residential and
commercial reconstruction projects following water, fire, and mold losses. This is a
production-focused role where you'll manage projects from contract through completion,
ensuring quality workmanship, customer satisfaction, and profitable project execution.
You'll spend much of your time in the field coordinating subcontractors, managing
schedules, maintaining budgets, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and
within scope.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage restoration and reconstruction projects from start to finish.
• Coordinate subcontractors, project schedules, and daily jobsite activities.
• Monitor project budgets and protect profit margins through effective job cost
management.
• Communicate proactively with homeowners, commercial clients, and internal
teams.
• Collaborate closely with mitigation crews, estimators, and office staff.
• Ensure all project documentation, change orders, punch lists, and close-out
paperwork are completed accurately.
• Maintain high standards for quality, safety, and customer service.
• Resolve project issues quickly while keeping clients informed throughout the
process.
Qualifications
• Experience managing restoration, reconstruction, or construction projects.
• Xactimate experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Comfortable using technology and learning new software.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Committed to delivering exceptional customer service during difficult situations.
