Job Summary:
The Procurement Specialist plays a key role in supporting production and operations by ensuring materials and services are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and on time. This position is responsible for purchasing activities, supplier coordination, and inventory support to maintain uninterrupted workflow and meet organizational goals. Key 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Review purchase requests and issue purchase orders based on business needs and approvals.
  • Monitor supply chain updates and adjust procurement plans to avoid delays.
  • Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and improved sourcing.
  • Ensure purchasing aligns with budget goals, tracking variances between expected and actual costs.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely availability of materials to support production schedules.
  • Source and evaluate vendors; manage contract negotiations and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Oversee and manage supplier agreements, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to validate demand forecasts, support new materials or equipment implementation, and resolve procurement-related issues.
  • Partner with leadership to explore alternative sourcing options and improve supply chain performance.
  • Track vendor performance metrics (e.g., delivery timeliness, quality, and reliability).
  • Resolve payment discrepancies with Finance and Accounts Payable.
  • Contribute to the development and adherence of procurement policies and procedures.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
  • Minimum of 2–5 years of procurement or supply chain experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Familiarity with procurement systems; SAP experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices, supplier management, and budgeting principles is a plus.
