Working with a relatively small cross-functional team on a new development project, the engineer will have the opportunity to learn about other functional disciplines, systems, and new technologies with which the electrical system interfaces. This position is exciting and rewarding, as the engineer will promptly see their ideas grow firsthand from concept to creation and implementation.

  • Select electrical components from COTS catalogues and custom designs
  • Perform voltage and ampacity analysis
  • Design electrical system installations in CAD and 2D drawings
  • Manufacture and install electrical designs into aircraft
  • Iterate quickly following the design, build, test strategy
  • Control designs via interface and configuration documents

  • B.S. in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, other relevant discipline and 3+ years of working experience in a relevant industry OR in lieu of a degree, 5+ years of working experience in a relevant industry
  • Excellent problem solving and teamwork skills, working with people cross-functionally
  • Experience with hands-on design, prototyping, and testing

  • 8+ years of working experience in relevant industry
  • Proficiency with Catia, specifically using Electrical 3D Design, Electrical 3D Part Design, Electrical Manufacturing Preparation, Assembly Design, Part Design, and Generative Shape Design
  • Familiarity with EWIS aerospace standards, such as SAE AS50881, AC 43.13 Ch.11, ASTM F2639, etc.
  • Understanding of ERP/MRP/PLM solutions
